Based on a Tibetan sling bag, this updated design has been detailed with an all-over Samuranche quilting. The reverse features DPM: Monster Tiger; a rare Vietnamese pattern found in the tailor shops who offered uniform customisation to U.S. soldiers.
The Samuranche pattern combines elements of the traditional Japanese tortoise shell used in the battle dress of 17th Century Samurai with the broken arrow peace symbol and a pattern used by the indigenous American Comanche. Known as the Lords of the Plains, they were later respected for their contributions to WWI, WWII and Vietnam U.S. war efforts
Cotton Sateen · 100% Cotton
1960’s era U.S. Army cotton sateen twill, reproduced exclusively for Maharishi. Used in AW21 to reproduce the uniforms worn by the U.S. Navy Riverine and helicopter support units, as well as for Eastern utility wear of the Civilian Regular Defence Group.
