Stretched DPM: British Bonsai Forest

maharishi returns for the Autumn Winter 2016 season with a new stretched camouflage pattern concept.

The core colour of maharishi’s AW16 collection is entitled Lama, which draws inspiration from Tibetan Buddhist monks’ habits and reinforces the brand’s pacifist approach to military design. Other key colours include a nature-inspired autumnal rust, along with the mainstay house colour maha Olive.

These seasonal colours are reinterpreted to achieve the core Temple Camouflage colourway, with Autumn, Jungle, and Night rounding out the palette. Bonsai tree shapes growing from heavenly clouds remind us that camouflage has its roots in nature. For the first time maharishi has stretched the camo graphic – further enforcing the elements and mimicking natural wood grain texture. The stretched scale is reminiscent of the spiral and interlocked patterns that occur naturally in trees.

Many of the camouflage styles are fully reversible, allowing the pattern to be worn internally.
